Situation
Historically, warriors with Traumatic Brain Injury, commonly referred to as TBI, don't meet many other warriors with TBI. Once medevac, you are sent to a military hospital, somewhere, in the ICU. Shortly after stabilizing and leaving the ICU, you are shipped to another hospital. Often a Veterans Affairs Hospital located somewhere in the country. Finally, once you are functioning as a human being, you move to another hospital that is closer to your home.
During that time, neither you or your family has had time to meet others with TBI.
Historically, it has been proven that interaction has a large, positive impact on both; warriors with TBI and families.
Mission:
Create annual TBI conferences that support TBI Warriors and families to meet, share stories, pass information and provide advice to each other So they can continue to recover and improve their lives..
